Starting from the Seattle Metro Area. Take I-5 to Exit #163A from the north or Exit #163 from the south. Follow signs for the Vashon Island ferry. Take the ferry to Vashon Island (20 minute ride). Follow Vashon Hwy south to the town of Vashon.
- Vashon to Tacoma
Leaving Vashon, take Vashon Hwy south to the Tahlequah ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Point Defiance. Once you leave the ferry dock, turn left at the first traffice signal and follow the road into Tacoma.
- Tacoma back to Seattle
Leaving Tacoma, take I-5 north to Seattle.
