    • Seattle to Port Townsend

      From the Colman Dock (Pier 52), take the Seattle-Bainbridge ferry to Bainbridge Island. Take SR 305 north/west about 13 miles (past Poulsbo) to SR 3 north and follow the signs 7 miles to the Hood Canal Bridge. Turn left and cross the Hood Canal Bridge. The sign for Port Townsend is about .5 mile ahead. In 5 miles turn right onto SR 19 (Beaver Valley Rd.) toward Port Townsend.  Continue about 22 miles to the town of Chimacum. Go straight at the 4-way stop on SR 19. Then, 7 miles south of Port Townsend SR 19 joins with SR 20. Follow SR 20 into town.

    • Port Townsend to Langley

      Leaving Port Townsend, take the Port Townsend – Keystone ferry. The ferry terminal is downtown at the west end of Water Street.  From the Keystone ferry dock turn right and follow the road to SR 20. At the intersection turn right on to SR 20.  SR 20 will turn into SR 525. Continue past the towns of Greenbank and Freeland. Then turn left onto S. Coles Rd., and continue to downtown Langley.

    • Langley back to Seattle

      Leaving Langley, take First Street east to Cascade Ave.  At the intersection, turn left onto Camano Ave., which turns into Langley Rd. past the fairgrounds. Follow Langley Rd. to the intersection of SR 525 and turn left onto SR 525. Follow SR 525 to the Mukilteo – Clinton ferry (20 minute boat ride). Follow SR 525 (Mukilteo Speedway) to 84th St. SW.  Turn left onto 84th St. SW continue to Paine Field Blvd. Turn left onto Paine Field Blvd. This will turn into SR 526 around the Boeing assembly plant (largest one-story building in the world). Follow SR 526 to I-5 south and return to Seattle.

Directions to Port Townsend   top

  • From Seattle

  •  From Edmonds

    Take I-5 to SR 524, and take Exit #181. Continue west on SR 524 for 6 miles and follow the signs to the Edmonds Ferry Terminal. Take the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry to Kingston. From Kingston, take SR 104 West to the Hood Canal Bridge. Turn right and cross the Hood Canal Bridge.

    After about 5 miles, turn right on SR 19 North (Beaver Valley Rd.) heading north toward Port Townsend. Continue about 22 miles to the town of Chimacum. When you come to the 4-way stop on SR 19 go straight.  Approximately 7 miles south of Port Townsend, SR 19 joins with SR 20. Follow SR 20 into town.
